De Akko Big-Band Almtal werd in 2005 opgericht door Theresia "Resi" Pühringer. Alle leden zijn leerlingen van de muziekschool Fröhlich Scharnstein en hebben daar ook leren accordeon spelen en er hun liefde voor ontdekt.
