Als natuurhistorisch instituut maakt het de natuur begrijpelijk, creëert het bewustzijn over de natuur en bevordert het de dialoog over biodiversiteit. Daarnaast vinden er in het Linzer biologiecentrum talrijke natuurgerelateerde evenementen plaats. Het Ecopark is open voor het publiek. Speciale en permanente natuurhistorische tentoonstellingen georganiseerd door OÖ Landes-Kultur GmbH zijn te zien in het Schlossmuseum Linz.
